Chris and I worked together with many other women in the Co-Op Party in the 1990s to form the first iteration of the Co-Op Women's Network. Our aims were firstly to get the Co-Op Party to agree to a 50/50 gender balance on the Parliamentary Panel, and secondly to get more Co-Op women elected to Parliament. Chris's contribution, guidance and friendship were invaluable. After the 1997 election we disbanded having achieved our objectives. It was great to see Chris again in Cardiff resurrecting the Network, it brought back so many good memories. She was a wonderful person. I am privileged to have known here. Ruth Rosenthal
