I always saw Chris as an equal - she certainly treated me like one - whilst I never aspired to being on the NEC of the Cooperative Party or being a Chair! But we did have much in common but more low level stuff like Cat slaves - travelling especially our different trips to Oz and being cooperators- she was interested in my local Foodbank - Hounslow Community Foodbox ( independent) and whilst we had meet a couple of times was always happy to share stuff on fb . I think she was generous of her time - fancy someone so important to our National Movement bothering with an ordinary Cooperator? But that was so special about her she genuinely cared about everyone she met! so I will raise a glass of red wine to Chris on Tuesday evening. 1st Sept.
