It was a great privilege to have known Chris for a short time when we both served on the Co-operative Group Board. Reading more about her life, it is a wonderful record of activity and sevice which includes such a diverse range of causes and interests. Such a sad loss to the cause of progressive human development. May we all be motivated by her memory to continue this struggle.

I only met Chris a few times but she exuded good humour, good grace and a fierce energy for fairness, backed by a quick mind. She seemed to me to be someone living out co-operative values in a very practical way - and watched her exhausting work/contributions with joy. It is lovely to see how many people loved and admired her - and always sad that we only say these things loudly when people are gone. RIP Chris - you have left a real mark.
